New Socius for Europe (I)
Brother Pavel Syssoev, OP, is the new Socius of the Master of the Order for the Provinces of Europe (I).
On September 8, 2024, the Master of the Order, Brother Gerard Francisco Timoner III, OP, appointed Br Pavel Syssoev, OP, son of the Dominican Province of Toulouse, as Socius of the Master for the Provinces of Europe (I).
Br Pavel together with Brother Thomas Gabriel Brogl are the new Socii of the Master for the Provinces of Europe. A special thanks to Brother Miguel Angel del Rio, OP, and Brother Alain Arnould, OP, for having served most recently in these offices.
Br Pavel Syssoev was born in Vilnius, Lithuania, in 1977. After studying philosophy in Russia and at the Sorbonne in France, he worked as a lecturer. He joined the Dominican Province of Toulouse in 2002. He has taught in the friars’ studium and in seminaries, preached numerous retreats as well as the Rosary Pilgrimage in 2020. He was prior in Bordeaux and then Marseille, and socius to the provincial of his province. He joined the community of Santa Sabina in May 2024.
